We have been blessed with a bountiful harvest once again. Luckily I married a green thumb who plants a beautiful garden every year. Last year we had a lot of fun doing watermelon and tiny pumpkins. This year we just stuck with a few of our favorites. One being the glorious acorn squash! This acorn squash plant is very unique. He produces not only acorn squash but also yellow zucchini! Talk about more bang for your buck!
This is the first one harvested thus far. We can't wait to eat it with...you guessed it, Steph...a pork chop!!!
Thanks, hon for always doing a great garden!

You are hilarious. Looks yummy. So, you eat a lot of pork chops I take it!
Good for you guys for having a garden. I would love to but I suck at keeping things alive. Why do I have a child and dog again. Hopefully I don't mess up there :)
We're coming in this week and this time I mean it. I have to pick up something there. So I will see you soon!
Way to go, that's awesome!
that is awesome...I could use some tips seriosly. I have a black thumb not a green one!!
I love acorn squash! I'm coming over for dinner! I love that Ben is MR. Green thumb--he is the least of my bros that I would have pegged to be. Although whatever he decides to do--it's never done 2nd rate!!! Love that you made pesto sauce too! You little Molly you!
Hey guys. That's the kind a squash you dont eat... you display it proudly as a centerpiece on your kitchen table. Beautiful piece of... vegetable or fruit?
(Though considered a vegetable in cooking, botanically speaking, squash is a fruit) I am a dork. Yes.
That is the cutest acorn squash I have ever seen. Cody and I failed at the garden thing. It is a lot more work than people think...our garden was too big to keep up. We picked a zucchini that was about as big as a 15 pound baby. I am proud of you little green thumbs!
Mmmm, that looks yum.
So dine o'round starts tomorrow (friday) & goes til the 27th. Let's plan a night and GO!
Thanks for the flash back. I am glad to know I was not the only one into garbage pail kids. Ashlee thanks for keeping life fun. Way cute blog.
