Today Ben and I did something that we have talked about doing for years now. We went ice skating at the Olympic Oval in Kearns. Ben has been pestering me for five years now about going there. He loves to ice skate and he is good at it (in fact we went ice skating the night we got engaged). So I finally said, alright fine! I think the clincher was when he said we could invite my neices along. So my sister Steph and her kids were able to come along and also my sis in law Angela and two of her kids and my mom and dad. By the time I had my ice skates on and tightened, I was already sweating. The closest I have come to having a baby is pushing my foot into an ice skate...STRUGGLE! It was way cool to ice skate where the Winter Olympics were held in 2002. It is an amazing facility in which I highly reccomend. In fact, I can't wait to go back!

Toe Pick!!! I love ice skating. Here you can go ice skating right on the bay off of embarcadero. Very cool to see the Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate while ice skating. Ben has cool hockey skates right? Britt got some rollerblades, and she is getting really good. Fast, and backwards skating. She's actually kind of a maniac. Did you see the hockey player get his throat cut? YouTube it--kinda gross but awesome at the same time!
I LOVE ice skating but Jake doesn't so I haven't gone since we've been married. That place sounds fun...maybe I can talk him in to going there.
Do they rent skates out for 18 month olds?
Erin, I am not sure if they do rent 'em out to midgets but you could sure try. Tell Jake that it was awesome!! You should try hockey skates when you go. They are way fun...like rollerblading.
