A New Year

Do you believe in New Years Resolutions? Did you make any for 2010? Are you doing well with them so far? This year I tried to make a spiritual resolution, a physical resolution and an educational resolution.
My spiritual resolution for 2010 is to attend the temple more often. I so take for granted the fact that I am surrounded by temples. I need to take advantage and go! So this past Thursday I went to the Draper Temple. I had never been and I absolutely loved it! So gorgeous! I've had AMAZING experiences in the temple and I love reflecting on them.

Ben and I got our release date for our calling at the Juvenile Detention Center. We are being released the last Sunday of March and we are so sad! It will be so hard to go back to our home ward, which we don't really know since it has split multiple times since we have lived here.

In March, we will celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We find it hard to believe. I am so lucky to have my cute little Ben!

We have some fun things planned for the year. I'm already thinking/planning my yard for this Summer. Can't wait until the snow thaws and my little flowers start popping up and little buds start appearing on my tree...love it! For now, we are just enjoying our cozy little home and SUPER COZY new electric fireplace...thank you Costco!

I hope you are well...love reading your blogs!

xoxo

Draper temple is so close. We should have met up! You need to post pics of your house. I bet it is darling.

Also how did you get the Ash & ben different? I love it

I haven't made any resolutions yet...we take the whole month to think about it and then discuss them as a family during our first FHE in February. I like the direction you took, I may have to take that approach!
You and Ben would be the best youth leaders, I hope they put you guys to work quickly!

Congratulations on your resolutions for the new year. I also made resolutions. One I will share is that I am reading the entire Old Testament this year. It is the only book of scripture that I have never read completely. If you read about 3 pages a day you will finish in a year. (You need to read a few extra every couple of days, otherwise you will be 89 pgs. short.) Chloe is also doing this with me! Did you take the pic of the temple? It is very beautiful. You need to finish your pics from Cancun!! :) Loves to you my cute sister!

So sad you are being released. I know you both enjoyed that so much. Good luck with your new ward. I too can't wait for Spring and the flowers. I am seriously counting the days. You know how much I "love" winter and the smog that comes with it... Love you guys!

It is so true how much you take living close to so many temples for granted. We now have a 3.5 hour drive to our closest temple. The amazing thing is that our ward has the highest temple attendance in the entire St. Louis temple district. I feel such guilt knowing how infrequently I went when I had 6+ temples within a 30 minute drive!!! Love you guys!
