After receiving lots of pressure from my brother, Ben participated in his first ever Triathlon today in Stansbury. He did an amazing job (especially for not training at all)! I am so proud of him.
My brother Jasson and his wife Angela also participated and they did such amazing jobs! Seriously, so proud of these guys!
Angela took 2ND place in her age group. Yeah for the silver medal!
Isn't Ang just the cutest little buff person ever??
Jasson finished 4th place overall and took the Clydesdale Award! (First place for men weighing over 200 lbs.) I was so proud of him for being the 3rd person out of the water!!! I guess all those swimming lessons at the Sports Mall did pay off! 
I don't know who should be bragging more, me or Ben. 'Cause once again...just so proud!!
I was so impressed by ALL of the contestants. Some were quite chubby, some were old, some had big pot bellies. But they all had the courage to compete. An older lady could barely walk when she came back from the swim. She hopped on her bike and took off. When she got in from the bike ride, she said, "I only fell once. Last year I fell twice on the bike." (the roads were wet). I think my dad was pretty surprised (even I was) when I yelled out, "Good for you, Lady!" I just couldn't help it...I thought she was so awesome!
I ran with Ben and I saw her AGAIN. Just huffing and puffing along. She was an inspiration!
Ben, I'm way proud of you. It was fun to watch you compete! Congrats on surviving your 1st (and possibly last) triathlon.

I always think about doing a triathalon and then remember how much work it is. Good job Ben for doing it especially without training.
Good job Ben. Jason has been doing them for awhile now. Its tough but apparently worth going back and doing again.
I'm so glad Ben didn't die! Can't wait to see you for our wild & wicked weekend!!! I'm sure you will be the Belle of the Ball...is it really a big deal if I just wear a skirt? (JK)
Yay Ben!! Thats pretty sweet, but I will never even say that is something that I will EVER try one of those!
That is awesome. My dream is to do this one day. What a great accomplishment. Good Job!!!!
